Have you tried the new Saucony winter shoes?

    • Craig Lloyd says:

We haven’t. We were hoping they would join in on the review, but it didn’t get sorted in time. We’ve heard really good things about the shoes, however.

The Altra Lone Peak 3.0 NeoShell is great. Wearing them every day when the temps are below freezing.

I have worn my Salomon XA Alpine shoes all winter, and am extremely happy with the results. I am a runner and hiker, and never did I end up with wet feet or with blisters or other discomfort. I can definitely recommend these shoes for the winter – no matter whether you need them for running or simple walking or for hiking!

I can confirm that the Ultra MT winter shoes are absolutely waterproof and amazingly comfortable. Since I got them back in October, I haven’t had a single complaint. I’m kind of sad that the winter is over, and I will need to put these babies away for now. Thanks for this post!

Personally, I love wearing Salomon S-Lab XA Alpine, I have it for almost 6 months now & they are working perfectly fine. I bought them as I love trekking a lot, every weekend I go on camping with my friends, & right now this pair of shoe is one of my friends. In fact, they are good even for casual walk unlike many other trekking shoes.
