Rayovac Headlamp Review

The full name of this little bugger is the Rayovac Virtually Indestructible 3AAA LED Headlamp.

I am forever buying headlamps at Lowes and Home Depot.  They don’t break, it’s just that I keep finding better ones.  This time it was the Rayovac that caught my eye at Home Depot.  It uses a single LED that puts out either 105 lumens or 30 lumens.  First time I used it at night I was shocked by the performance. It has a powerful center spot as well as a large halo surrounding the center beam.  The battery life is rated for 3 and 15 hours respectively. The head strap holds tight and wraps around your head and has an additional strap going over the top of your noggin.  There is also a pivot point to direct the beam up or down.

For $15 I couldn’t be happier.  I’ve put about 20 hours of use on it without a sinlge point of failure.  It hangs around our motorhome and gets thrown from here to there.  No problems yet.

Given the price for other brands, I could buy 3 of these and still be money ahead.  I would highly recommend buying one.
