Running in Style

The TAUR team wanted to focus a review on stylish running gear, and after much testing and multiple brands submitting apparel, we came to the conclusion that only one brand was worth your investment. Thanks to Patagonia for making both stylish and functional clothing.

Here are our two favorites.

Patagonia Bandito

The most popular botton down short sleeve tech shirt amongst trail runners. This shirt is the perfect balance between business casual and outdoorsy. We’ve never felt more comfortable wearing a shirt that represented our passions for the outdoors, in  environments where we needed to be presentable. The Patagonia Bandito quickly became our go-to casual shirt. We wore it to work, around town and on countless runs. The Bandito is a go everywhere, do anything shirt. Despite numerous hours on the trail, the shirts’ Polygiene® managed odor amazingly. The only detractor from a perfect score was the shirts inability to manage wicking during hot days with a pack on.

Whether were in the mountains or in the office, we felt completely comfortable in any situation. We were able to stand in front of executives without having to think about my attire. And when we got home and went out with the family or played with the kids at the park we had no need to change out of the Bandito shirt. It was the perfect blend of business and casual.

Patagonia Nine Trails Skirt

Trail skirt with built-in shorts liner. Pros: comfortable fit and liner, excellent color scheme and overall design. Cons: sizing – medium in other Patagonia bottoms but would have needed a full size smaller for expected fit. 3. At Least 3 pictures of the product 4. One paragraph about how you used it This skirt, (assuming proper sizing), was a very comfortable and sporty skirt for all types of trail runs, from easy flat single track to technical mountain terrain. It has a great look and feel and is flattering to nearly any Runner’s build. The low cut fit is very comfortable even on long days in the mountains. Aside from the sizing issue, Patagonia nailed it out of the park again.

I have the Patagonia skirt. Super cute but the shorts ride up. There is no compression or sticky band to keep them down.
