Sony AS200V Action Cam Review

We, at TAUR, relish in those special opportunities to review a truly outstanding product. It happens often enough, as there are many amazing products in the industry. One that transcends trail running, that crosses over sport and leisure, is the Sony Action Cam. It was offered to us, along with a plethera of cool accessories, late last Fall. Since then we have used it to film running, climbing, skiing, cliff jumping, snorkling, and our specialty, tom-foolery!

The Sony AS200V Action Cam is the 3rd iteration in the Action Cam line. The evolution has been truly spectacular. This model offers a Carl Zeiss lens (like the other models), incredible stability (something GoPro does not do well, at all), low light visual, and weather resistance without the waterproof case (which also comes standard, in the box). It is wifi compatible with your cell phone and the standard wrist monitor, allowing transferring of video to be done within seconds.

An early attempt of this review was done using the Action Cam more than a month ago. We stood in front of the camera and studio lights, then went through the edit process to produce a solidly classy review. And then we trashed it. It’s not us, not our style. So we redid it this past weekend near Kanab, UT, in an amazing slot canyon called Peekaboo. We hope you enjoy the end result.
