The beautiful Wasatch Mountains of Utah is the backyard and playground for many of the TAUR staff. One of our favorite activities is to introduce amazing places to new trail runners and visiting friends. Just over a week ago acclaimed running filmmaker and personal good friend, Billy Yang, was in Utah for a film shoot. He stayed an extra day to spend some time in his beloved Wasatch.
Needing miles, vert, and beauty, I chose a route for us that would take us up the front of Mt Timpanogos and along its flanks. Passing waterfalls, springs, amazing meadows, and mind-blowing rocky cirques, we ran for over 20 miles. We ran into local friends, slid down a snowfield, and dunked our heads in the river to cool off. Hopefully Billy left with a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for the Wasatch and running these beautiful trails.

That is my “home” trail! I just ran the Bonneville Shoreline trail on the West face of Timp to Grove Creek yesterday. Great trails all over the Wasatch. Enjoyed the video.
