On Monday, May 27th at 8:20 am, Sage Canaday set off on a tempo run from Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. It was like any other training day for Sage…but this time, there were five ninjas staggered up the Amphitheatre Trail. Each carried a GoPro or Sony Action Cam with instructions to stay with Sage on the climb for as long as possible capturing video of his training run. A vertical ascent of almost 3,000ft in less than 4 miles, the trail is littered with obstacles that make running extremely difficult. One additional GoPro was mounted to Sage’s head to capture his point-of-view during the run.
Sage maintained his madman pace to the summit where he briefly paused before returning to the park. Seeing this ascent live was mind-blowing. I hope you will enjoy this exclusive content captured and edited for Trail and Ultrarunning.

Thanks for this. Super inspiration. Sage seems like a pretty amazing guy. Plus, as a vegetarian he is another great sign of what a meat-free diet can do. Awesome stuff, EnduranceJer.
